"Contraindications in Shoe Recommendations" presented by Michael F. Muncy, C.Ped will discuss when matching footwear for a patient, with or without orthoses, the goal is to provide the most appropriate shoes for the patient's foot type, size, gait, and condition(s). This session is to remind us that each shoe we stock or recommend has cases (or conditions) where it is helpful but other cases (or conditions) where that same shoe would be contra-indicated. In conclusion, there is a Q&A and a discussion on the pitfalls of shoe lists.
