December 31st, 2025 — It is with much appreciation and gratitude to all of you who have helped PFA accomplish so many of our goals during 2025.
As the year ends, I am reflecting on all the endless conversations, networking, and collaborations that our members, dedicated vendors, sponsors, educators, and Board of Directors brought together to build a sustainable professional organization which supports all of our interests.
Together we attended and presented at regional and national conferences including: Primefare, Shoe Service Institute of America, National Shoe Retailers Association, Florida Orthotics and Prosthetics Association, Hanger Live, American Orthotics and Prosthetics Association, American Orthopedic Foot and Ankle Surgeon Association, The Running Event as well as a podcast presentation, journal articles and trade publications.
The Board worked diligently to lower individuals' membership dues, create corporate membership programs and added value benefits for our vendor sponsors.
Pedorthic schools gained our support and leadership to complete their application for approval from ABC which benefits and grows the profession at large.
PFA continues to enhance the Board development to serve our membership; adding 4 new Board members: Jacob Thomas, Kathy Carandang, Celina Quilantan & Jeff Gray.
This year has seen the production and marketing of our Showcase Webinar Programs – The Diabetic Foot, Sports Series, and The Active Foot; each presented in a 10-session format with approved Continuing Education Units (CEUs). All of these programs are available now on PFA's updated, easy-to-use Learning Management System, bringing our members current information and affordable educational opportunities.
This year has been very rewarding, and with our new President, Jeffery Rich and the dedicated Board of Directors, 2026 is certain to keep PFA a Step Ahead!
I look forward to seeing you all at our inaugural 2026 PFA Education Symposium with The Academy in Nashville on February 18-19, 2026.
