Simon Bartold is a graduate of Adelaide University where he gained a Bachelor Degree in Science with majors in Physiology and Zoology. His further qualification in Podiatry was gained at the University of South Australia. He graduated with honours and was awarded the University prize for dux of the course. Simon holds postgraduate fellowships in Sports Podiatry with the Australian Academy of Podiatric Sports Medicine, in Sport Sciences with Sports Medicine Australia, and in the Faculty of Podiatric Medicine with the Royal college of Physicians and Surgeons (Glasgow)
In 1998 he was awarded the prestigious Best Clinical Paper award for original research at the Australasian Conference of Science and Medicine in Sport. He repeated this feat in 2002 with a paper entitled “A Numerical Foot Model to Predict Sole Stability Parameters in Athletic Footwear”. In 2007 he was once again recognized for research excellence with a paper entitled “Effects of estrogen on the mechanical behavior of the human Achilles tendon in vivo.”
It is the first and only time this award has been presented to the same researcher on multiple occasions.
In July 2009, Simon was awarded the Richard O Schuster Award by the American Podiatric Medical Association for outstanding contributions to Education and Research in the field of Biomechanics. It is the only time the recipient has been a non-North American native.

Dr. Moreno received his Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo in 1999. After graduating, he went on to the University of Southern California where he received his Doctorate in Physical Therapy degree in 2003.
Following graduation, Dr. Moreno has worked primarily in outpatient orthopedic settings, rehabilitating and training individuals from all walks of life to achieve peak performance. He has a passion for working with athletes and has treated amateur, collegiate and professional athletes recovering from injuries and helped them return to their respective sports. This has led him to develop a true professional and personal interest, as well as extensive training in assessment and rehabilitation of orthopedic injuries, in running athletes.In 2005, he became the team physical therapist for Nike Team Run Los Angeles, a post-collegiate professional running team sponsored by Nike. Dr. Moreno’s running clientele has included Olympians, US Champions and Olympic Trials qualifiers in events from the 800 meters to the Marathon.
Dr. Moreno has completed many advanced training courses in orthopedic physical therapy and became a board certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist in 2005. He is formally trained in and is heavily influenced by movement-based approaches popularized by Dr. Shirley Sahrmann, Gray Cook, PT, Dr. Vladimir Janda and Pavel Kolar.

Mr. Wannop has a PhD in Biomechanics and a BKin (Hons) in Biomechanics from the University of Calgary.
Mr. Wannop is an Adjunct Assistant Professor Biomechanics and a Research Coordinator with the Stefanyshyn Research Group.
Mr. Ryan has a PhD in Experimental Medicine, Master’s Degree in Human Kinetics - Sports Injury Epidemiology, a Bachelor’s Degree in both Kinesiology and Exercise Science from the University of British Columbia. In addition, Mr. Ryan is a Certified Pedorthist of Canada - C.Ped (C), from The College of Pedorthics of Canada.
Mr Ryan is in volved in clinical database management, clinical trials research and biomechanics. As a certified pedorthist in Canada with 14 years’ experience, Mr.Ryan has working experience in outpatient settings within private practice in Canada and through large-scale university health center settings.
Mr. Ryan’s current research is focused on using contemporary medical record systems (InputHealth) to optimize clinical effectiveness and quality improvement outcomes. Other foci include rehabilitative strategies for plantar fasciitis/fasciopathy, clinical impacts of footwear minimalism in runners, and the translation of a novel method of approximating mechanical stiffness of tendon through post-processing of grey-scale ultrasound videos.
