This Lunch & Learn webinar by Terrance John Mueller, DPM will cover Tibialis Posterior Dysfunction and how it is more than just tendonitis. The whole gamut of this type of acquired flatfoot deformity will be discussed - from pre-symptomatic but biomechanically predisposed, to end-stage severe case presentations with treatment options. The original TPD staging and etiologic classification algorithms first described by Dr. Mueller in the early 1980s will be presented, so that a staged orthotic treatment plan can be designed. Gait analysis for pre-treatment and continued assessment, post-orthotic dispensal will be discussed, along with optimal cast impressions and 3D scanning techniques for orthotic production. Multi-media, including gait analysis, casting/scanning, and foot/AFO treatment will be presented.
Lunch & Learn Webinars are a non-credit informal discussion group focused on technical questions, business strategies, tips, tools...just about everything to use and assist you in your practice.

 Dr. Mueller began his orthotic career while still a podiatric medical student, working in the school's lab. Later, he incorporated an orthotic lab in his private practice. He became a lifetime diplomate of the American Board of Podiatric Orthopedics in 1993. He is the originator of the concept of TPD, and has been an invited lecturer to the APMA National meeting, Midwest Podiatry Conference, and various state and local meetings since the early 1980s. The original Mueller TPD orthotic series (foot, AFO, and more) began after 6 years of development over 25 years ago, and he has been a consultant to the O & P industry ever since.
