PFA Announces Its Upcoming Publication of Pedorthics Textbooks
The Pedorthic Footcare Association (PFA) is setting the professional standard once again on pedorthic care and treatment by announcing the upcoming publication of its 2-volume textbook set focusing on the application, treatments and the practice of pedorthics. Pedorthic Principles and Practices Volume 1 and 2 are the first educational textbooks available, focusing on the most detailed and up-to-date information on using pedorthics for various disease and injury related maladies. Set to officially launch at the 53rd Annual Symposium and Exhibition in Little Rock Arkansas, November 1-3, 2012. Pre-sales are available now and the orders are already rolling in. The textbooks will also assist on educating both new and practicing pedorthists by establishing the guidelines for the advance training for pre-certification education programs.
Since introducing its first ground breaking pedorthics guide, Introduction to Pedorthics, in 1997, PFA has been working towards its mission and professional goals to provide a more advanced publication targeting the growth and advancement of pedorthics in the healthcare industry. With upwards of eighteen authors, consisting of pedorthic professionals and professionals from other allied healthcare areas, textbook chapters focus on such topics as Kinesiology of the Musculoskeletal System, Gait, Pathology and Pathomechanics, Patient Management, Practice Management, Pathologies, and other areas related to pedorthic practice topics.
The publication format availability for these textbooks will be as a single two-volume soft-bound set, or as individual volumes. Eventually, PFA will offer individual chapters as "white paper” presentations. Along with discounts for bulk purchases, PFA members can take advantage of discounted pricing. For PFA Members, the cost for the two-volume set will be $199 (or $99 each for each single volume if bought separately) and $299 for non-members (or $199 each per volume bought singly) online in the PFA Bookstore beginning in October 2012, as well at the 53rd Annual Symposium and Exhibition.
