PFA's Mission and Position
PFA's Mission
PFA's mission is to enhance the
effectiveness and efficiency of credentialed providers of lower extremity
pedorthic modalities through education; increase the demand for services
through marketing; and promote the right to practice through government affairs
activities.
PFA's Position Statement
For allied health and medical professionals who seek effective outcomes for patients with foot-related problems, credentialed pedorthists provide expert care and products for conservative management of the foot/ankle with a collaborative treatment approach that produces effective patient outcomes. Unlike non-credentialed providers, credentialed pedorthists are trained, credentialed, and regulated providers who work from prescription, so that allied health and medical professionals can trust and rely on the specialized standard of care from credentialed pedorthists.
