PFA's Annual Survey of the Pedorthic Profession
In 2006, PFA undertook its first comprehensive annual survey of the pedorthic profession. The survey of 632 participants, representing 2,743 total practice or store locations, collected significant amounts of data about pedorthics in America. The 2005 data that the survey collected will establish baseline data on the profession, which PFA will build upon annually with additional surveys.
To conduct and prepare the study and to assure strict confidentiality of the responses, PFA employs the services of a third-party survey and research firm. Confidential survey forms were sent to more than 2,700 certified pedorthists.
PFA is continuing its practice of an annual survey of the profession. The 2007 survey has been completed and the final results compiled, reflecting data collected for 2006.
